The first game of the first A Grade season went off with a bang! It was Donkeys vs Badgers, and both teams were stacked full of experienced players. The Donkeys won the coin toss and opted to start on the slab. We had a 2 point lead at half time, thanks to a top on 2nd attempt on Boulder 1. The Badgers briefly took the lead in the second half, but the Donkeys brought home the bacon in the last few minutes of play.
The team of Fred Eather, Cooper Gale, Lachie Butters, Jake Wilson and coached by Nikala Murray were glad to start the season off strong with a win. The next game is 11th Mar with Donkeys vs Hornets, and our club will no doubt be looking to get another win early in the season!
