We started in 2017 with one Opens competition and youth were welcomed.  Today, the youth dominate the registrations and the future never looked brighter. 

The depth has grown to the point that now in addition to the regular teams competition, a representative inter-school competition has evolved as well.  This is a natural pathway for the competitively inclined and is only made possible because the individual capacity has increased significantly over the last few years.  

However, the lions share of the youth live in the teams competition.  It's all about inclusion because our handicap system levels the playing field rewarding consistency and growth over sheer capacity.  In reality, the success rests in the combination of both sporting competitions and its blend into the Opens. 

One thing is for sure - the future looks bright.  There are enormous amounts of adults throughout Australia and around the world rock-climbing every year and these numbers continue to grow in what's widely known as a life sport. 

In the end, we are what we repeatedly do so healthy habits start young in our case.
